Where to begin...How about with who we are, and why we started Crack Tops...We are Tony and Laurie, a 20 years and counting married couple with 4 children. We live in SW Florida where Tony is a firefighter and Laurie works part time as an office manager in a retirement community. We love to laugh and believe that the secret to a happy marriage and family is not to take things so seriously, make fun of yourself (and of course your family members). Our oldest daughter is a gifted Chef in Steamboat Springs, CO, our next youngest daughter is a dedicated Elementary Education major in college, our son (the only one, bless his little heart) is in high school and is aspiring to join the Air Force, while our youngest daughter, affectionately dubbed "the tornado" is in Elementary school and the princess of the family. Seriously that is a lot to handle! At one point we had one in college, one in high school, one in middle school and one in elementary school...We have earned every gray hair and wrinkle, and we wear them proudly...ok...Laurie dyes her grays, but that's another story.
So why Crack Tops at this stage of our lives? We have always loved fun tshirts and have looked for ones that relate to us...not always easy to find. We purchased a home silk screen kit and it worked well for some things, ie party favors for our daughter's birthday, cruisin cousins shirts for our first cruise with my sister's family etc... but it wasn't until we were helping a friend make campaign shirts on a shoestring budget that it hit us...we really enjoy doing this! Laurie had gone back to school in 2007 to finish her bachelor's degree...after graduating in 201o...and still no job prospects...we decided it was time to do what we love and maybe earn some extra money for our family. So Crack Tops was born!
We are strictly a little "mom and pop" deal. We work out of our makeshift studio and are learning as we go...slave laboring one of the kids now and then. We hope you like our shirts and our blog. We will do everything we can to make your experience with us fun, yet professional. If for any reason you are not satisfied please let us know and we will do whatever we can to make you happy.
